Misjuns is a devoted husband, proud father of four boys, and a committed Christian who has spent his life serving his community and country.A veteran of the United States Coast Guard Reserve, Marty served more than 20 years and rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer before retirement. His passion for public safety led him to the Lynchburg Fire Department in 2007, where he served 14 years as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Fire Captain. He later brought his leadership experience to the private-sector healthcare industry and has owned and operated small businesses in construction, real estate, development, marketing, and consulting.Marty attended Lynchburg Christian Academy, and is a proud alumni of Liberty University. Since January 2023, he has served as an At-Large member of the Lynchburg City Council, advocating for fiscal responsibility, stronger public safety, and putting Lynchburg families and taxpayers first. He also enjoys volunteering in various youth sports and recreation associations in Lynchburg.As a courageous conservative, Marty brings a no-nonsense, people-first approach to government.
